Watch The Doors Perform “Love Me Two Times” With Taylor Hawkins On Vocals

"Love Me Two Times" is a song by the American rock band the Doors. First appearing on their second studio album Strange Days, it was later edited to a 2:37 length and released as the second single (after "People Are Strange") from that album. The single reached number 25 on the charts in the United States.

"Love Me Two Times" was considered to be somewhat risqué for radio airplay, being banned in New Haven for being "too controversial," much to the dismay of the band.

Lyrics

Love me two times, baby

Love me twice today

Love me two times, girl

I'm goin' away

Love me two times, girl

One for tomorrow

One just for today

Love me two times

I'm goin' away

Love me one time

Could not speak

Love me one time

Yeah, my knees got weak

But love me two times, girl

Last me all through the week

Love me two times

I'm goin' away

Love me two times

I'm goin' away

All right, yeah!

Love me one time

Could not speak

Love me one time, baby

Yeah, my knees got weak

Love me two time, girl

Last me all through the week

Love me two times

I'm goin' away

Love me two time, babe

Love me twice today

Love me two time, babe

Just I'm goin' away

Love me two time, girl

One for tomorrow

One just for today

Love me two time

I'm goin' away

Love me two time

I'm goin' away

Love me two times, I'm

Goin' away
